Back in 2004, the Soundmatters
MAINstage was the winner of a Consumer
Electronics Association's
Innovations Award for Design and Technology! Now in 2006,
they've improved upon the concept further with the release of
the $600
Soundmatters FULLstage HD virtual surround sound system
shown to the right.
The revolutionary
original single speaker Soundmatters MAINstage did an incredible job of filling a small room with theater quality
virtual surround sound, using digital time delays of audio signals through four
independent amplifiers, combined with
Zoran's VMD virtual surround
sound processor. But the MAINstage lacked a sub, so you
had to purchase a subwoofer separately, or else suffer without
any low frequency bass effects!
That's now changed,
because they've added the Soundmatters SUBstage, a compact
shoebox sized subwoofer that will bring a clean, deep bass to
your television. It's acoustically tuned to perfectly match the
Soundmatters MAINstage, and it can easily disappear in your room
(underneath furniture) unlike traditional subwoofers!! |

It's even upgradeable. The
Soundmatters FULLstage HD features rear line outputs for adding
amplified rear speakers for true 6.1 surround sound. The
system also comes with a remote control. Audio
inputs include optical digital, coaxial digital, RCA and
1/8" jack. Be sure to adjust the AngleEase leveling
feet for the best sonic positioning and performance. |
